In 2001, I moved from my hometown of Griffith, Indiana to the city of Indianapolis, Indiana, to attend the Herron School of Art and Design/IUPUI. I received my BFA, with a focus in Visual Communication and Graphic Design, in 2005. I chose visual communication to use my creativity and artistic talents by exploring the concepts of design as an art medium. Through graphic visuals I could speak to local, national and international communities. With this in mind, I moved to the Tampa Bay Florida area, as I was hired by Visual Edge Design. I was hired for website maintenance, but was quickly promoted to Lead Designer, a position I held for a year and I loved every minute of it! In 2007, I made my way back to the Chicago land area, successfully freelancing for several small businesses and web design companies. In November 2009, I was hired as a graphic/ web designer for Morse & Company Advertising in Michigan City, Indiana. Design is all around us. It is inspiring to be a part of creating, and advertising. I strive to be a successful asset to future visual communication and graphic design teams.
