RESUMÉ 2009

GOALS & OBJECTIVES:
As a visual communicator my objective is to become an essential member of an ambitious design team. With my creativity and talent my goal is to become an asset for the team by producing smart, eye-catching designs.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:
I received my degree in 2005 from the Herron School of Art & Design/ IUPUI, majoring in Visual Communication. From October of 2005 to May of 2007 I worked as a lead web designer at Visual Edge Design in Clearwater, Florida. I am currently working as a freelance web and print designer. I am proficient in the use of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign, Dreamweaver and Fireworks 2004 and 8, and Microsoft Word and Excel. I have experience using both MAC and PC platforms. I also have limited experience using programs such as Flash, Adobe After Effects, and Powerpoint.

EXPERIENCE:
2004 - Moore Langen Printing Company/ Capabilities Brochure
Responsible for the re-design of the printing company’s capabilities brochure, press checks when necessary, and organizing client meetings.

2004 - Seek/ AIGA Student Design Conference

2003 - 2007 / May 2009 - Present - Bath & Body Works/ White Barn Candle Co./ Sales Associate & Wrap Desk Coordinator
Responsible for sales, stocking, operating the cash register and customer service returns and exchanges.

2005 - Indiana Coalition on Housing and Homeless Issues (ICHHI)
I was responsible for the re-design of the non-profit organization’s logo, applying the re-designed logo to stationary, and designing a tabletop exhibit. For this project I was assigned project manager. I was responsible for all project decisions, I was the individual contacted by the clients with questions or requests, and I was responsible for assigning tasks to my team.

2005 - 2007 - Visual Edge Design/ Lead Designer
As a lead designer in a web design firm, I held the following responsibilities: - Successfully designed over 50 websites. - Successfully designed company logos/ identities for a number of clients.

Worked with corporate and small business owners and helped with the marketing of their websites.

Specialized in the design process of custom, lead generational and sales websites and ensured that quality designs and services were being delivered to the clients.

Managed and guided other designers and successfully collaborated with the firms’ web developers.

2007 - Present - GreatCircle Studios/ Freelance Web/ Print Designer
As a freelance designer for GreatCircle Studios, I hold the following responsibilities:

Successfully design a number of websites, logos and offline print materials such as magazine ads, brochures and business cards.

Work with corporate and small business owners and help with the marketing of their websites.

Specialize in the design process of custom, lead generational and sales websites and ensure that quality designs and services are being delivered to the clients.

Successfully collaborate with the firms’ web designers and developers.

2007 - Present - Infinium Medical, Inc./ Freelance Web Designer
As a freelance web designer for Infinium Medical, Inc., I designed the company’s current website and currently maintain it.

December 2008 - Present - WebLink International, Inc./ Freelance Web Designer
As a freelance designer for WebLink International, I hold the following responsibilities:

Successfully design a number of website layouts.

Successfully collaborate with the firms’ web designers and developers.

HONORS:
I was on the honor roll throughout high school, I was the Park Full of Art Scholarship recipient in 2001 (Griffith, Indiana) and made the Dean’s list five out of eight semesters of college. In 2002, I was awarded the scholarship; Most Outstanding Herron Freshman.

Design classes that I have taken are Visual Communications 1-6, Typography 1 - 3, Computers in Visual Communication 1 & 2, Production for Designers, Professional
Practice Studio, Introduction to Interactive Design, and Exhibition Design.
